This page is just a collection of photos a some technical information
about the SUZUKI GN125. I found this moto great for city ride
and some cool country side
rides.
I intend to provide you some technical data directly from the manual of
this machine.
I had, when I bought it, a lot of problems to know the details of the
machine, maintenance and safe ride.
I end up to order the manual that helped me a lot.
So, for now here are the photos:
This pictures showes the left side. Note the disk brakes on the front,
that work really well although you can find a lot of comments in the
net saying
that they are not powerful, but I believe that most users
don't know how to break!
By the way I have a great AXO helmet in carbon fiber. It is simple the
best I had in my life.
Here you can also see that exhaust pipe, single. Also you can also note
the low height
of the moto that allows a great easy ride. The center of gravity is
very low and you are
sitted upright and very confortable
in a big large sit. The exhaust sounds like a 600 cc. :)
Double instrumentation... revolutions and takometer. Note the 18700 km
in the counter and it runs great.
The key as 3 positions. OFF, midle (contact), park (presence lights for
parking).
You have HIGH BEAM, NEUTRAL and TURN indicator in the takometer. There
is a takometer reset switch in the left side
revolutions indicator.
Here is the engine... well part, but this is one of the most
import figures to show...
You can see the fuel controler (FUELCOCK) that has 3 positions (UP: reserve,
HORIZONTAL: close, DOWN: fuel flow).
The reserve (UP) is important for when the fuel gets low and the engine
starts to gag.
Just move the switch up and the reserve of full is
pumped to the engine
and you have some km to the closest fuel station
(Super 95). Also when you leave
the moto stop for several
days, just before turn-on the engine turn the switch
to RESERVE to pull
gaz to the engine and easy the start.
When you stop the engine for more than 5 minutes, always close the fuel
access.
It avoids that fuel access the engine and that can damage the
injection system.
Also important is the CARBURETOR CHOCKE LEVER switch that is on the left size of the
picture.
Is a a horizontal plate that you can turn down to increase the
air-fuel mix.
Very important to turn it down before and during cold
start.
To start the cold engine, push the choke lever all the way down.
Immediatly after the engine starts, return the choke lever halfway and
let the engine run unit the engine warms up.
The choke system only works with throtle closed!
When the engine is warm, the choke is not need to be pushed.
Only use unlead gasoline with octane level equal or higher than 91.
Do vary engine regimes to avoid increase stress over a particular part
Allow the engine to accelerate freely through the gears.
I have the manual for sale. I sale it for 10 euro + shipping. Please contact me for details.
